I play classical piano, and I usually direct my lessons in style, reading sheet music, rhythm, chords, musicality, understanding the scores in a musical sense, and not just notes on paper.

I usually try to understand what each one needs to develop, it is a very particular process for each one and my role there is to show paths, concepts, ideas. I try to make the whole thing very personalized for each person's need.

Ich spiele klassisches Klavier und leite meinen Unterricht normalerweise mit Stil, lese Noten, Rhythmus, Akkorde, Musikalität, verstehe die Partituren im musikalischen Sinne und nicht nur Noten auf Papier.

Normalerweise versuche ich zu verstehen, was jeder entwickeln muss, es ist ein ganz bestimmter Prozess von jedem und meine Aufgabe besteht darin, Wege, Konzepte und Ideen aufzuzeigen. Ich versuche, das Ganze sehr individuell auf die Bedürfnisse jeder Person abzustimmen.

Sam is a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist, pianist and piano teacher based in Berlin. With a background in classical piano and visual arts, she focuses on immersive installations, compositions and performances. Her work, based on synesthesia, allows her to visualize sounds as forms. Glass, a material she uses frequently, stems from her childhood experiences with her father. As an artist with autism and ADHD, her unique perception drives her projects, such as Creatures (glass robots) and Piano Glass (an experimental instrument), which combine technology, sound and the body to explore the limits of sensory experience. Sam's practice is to create imaginary ecosystems that challenge societal boundaries and perceptions, such as the concept of otherness, and how to create a more inclusive society.

I started teaching piano by chance – to refugees. That's when I realized how powerful music can be in supporting people. Over the years, teaching has become something I truly cherish. I continue to work as an artist, and music and art remain my greatest passions. But the moments I share with my students have become just as meaningful. I've been able to build connections with people in ways I never expected, and I see this work as a way to contribute to a better world.
Most of my students are adults. Some played as children and are starting again, others are complete beginners; some are advanced and want to delve deeper. In lessons, we work not only on technique but also on musical understanding: reading what's "in" the score, developing interpretation, and experiencing music as a living language—not just as dots on a piece of paper. I also enjoy teaching children and accompanying their growth over a longer period. Seeing how music supports their development always moves me deeply.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.

My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music.

< Learning Piano is not merely about playing the piano >

Before starting to learn the piano, it’s essential to recognize that :

'' What we are actually learning is "Music", but not only "Piano". ''

The goal of learning any instrument is to acquire the language of music, enabling us to express ourselves and enjoy music with others. Playing the piano is for creating beautiful sounds, not really for developing finger speed or strength. That’s the function of gym.

< Music is like cooking >

When we cook, to make roast beef tender, of course, it’s nice to have a tender heart, but without knowing how to control the temperature, the roast beef won’t become tender merely by our tender heart.

By only adding salt, the dish won’t be sweet. Similarly, simply playing or writing a C major triad chord won’t convey a sorrowful feeling.

To create the feeling we want, no matter how much sentiment we have in our hearts, to convey it via music, it needs to be translated into the language which the piano can understand, which means, how we press and lift the keys and pedals. Similarly, when we compose, it needs to be transferred into chords, and notes we write.

< Difference between an audience and a musician >

There is a common belief that a musician can make music with sentiment or feeling. While it’s partially true, the most essential thing is knowing ‘’How’’ to create the sound that conveys the feeling we want, rather than merely knowing ‘’What’' feeling we want to convey.

The understanding of the mechanism behind music is essential, as cooking, and that is the difference between an audience and a musician. As an audience, one can simply feel the music. Like a chief who knows how to create a specific flavor to convey, a musician knows how to create the sound which can convey the feeling we want. While knowing which feeling we want is great, it’s merely the first step. Your emotions are not too different from Chopin, Beethoven, Adele or Taylor Swift, otherwise, they can’t resonate with you. But they know how to create the sound that conveys the feeling they want to their audience.

< Course Content >

I consider my course to be a form of "Music Consultation" because it contains a wide range of subjects that are essential to a professional musician. While we focus on piano playing, there are also music theory, music history, instrument construction, ergonomics for performers, analysis of composer styles, composition, arrangement, recording, MIDI, computer music, the physics of sound, and more.
In avoid of confusion, let’s still call my course as "Piano Course”.

< Duration >

For each course, I will reserve at least 70 minutes in my schedule for you, including 60 minutes of class time and an additional 10 minutes for discussion and any questions you may have. This will ensure that your courses are not rushed by the next student. This ensures that there is enough time for you to solve your piano and music problems.

< Recording >

I highly encourage my students to record their progress. This can provide an objective standard for comparison and help you analyze your playing precisely. In my nine years of experience teaching music, I've found many students, including those advanced, already play certain sections very well, while other sections may not be not well enough. But they still try to improving those fine sections, while not aware of those weak sections.
Without an objective reference, it’s hard to distribute our effort precisely. This can lead to not only unstable performance, but also practicing without a precise goal can easily reduce enthusiasm. Recording your results and comparing them with those recordings you like on YouTube or Spotify can be an effective way to analyze your playing and set precise goals.

If you have a digital piano, I can help you produce a video of your performance for each session. This can be a tangible record of your efforts and you can share it with your friends and family via YouTube or other platforms.

Our Professional Studios are set with 2 video cameras, so you can see us perfectly and also hear us perfectly with a studio microphone. Do not worry about your settings, as long as you have a stable connection this is all what we need.

Why online classes? We think online classes are a valid asset for the future. Students learn comfortably from their homes and the education that they receive is proved to have the same validity as in person lessons, if performed with the right means and the right method, obviously! This is what we have been researching and testing for the past 5 years. So far, we have reached a 90% of students that actually got top results at ABRSM examinations by being prepared exclusively online by us.

Even though music is universal, specific terms and method learning differ from one culture and another one. This is why I propose some individual courses of music and piano for people curions about discovering or maybe improving their artistic skills in the language of Moliere.

As a musician and piano teacher, I understand these struggles very well. I trained under a world-renowned session musician and was classically educated at grammar school in London. I bring a calm, tailored and confidence-building approach to every lesson – whether you’re a total beginner, self-taught intermediate or experienced player looking to deepen your technique or theory.

Every lesson is taught live by me, 1:1 via Zoom or another platform of your choice. You’ll get a completely personalised, structured learning experience – built around your pace, style, goals and confidence level.

Lessons are available internationally and I currently teach students across the UK, UAE, Hong Kong & China and all of Europe. I work with children, teenagers, adults and seniors – and always tailor the tone of the session to you.

I am a piano teacher graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris with over 17 years of teaching experience, specializing in piano lessons for children and young learners.

My classical conservatory training provides a strong technical and musical foundation, which I adapt carefully for children in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

I believe that a solid classical base, combined with motivation and enjoyment, is essential for long-term musical development. Lessons are structured yet flexible and always adapted to each child’s age, personality, and attention span.

In addition to my musical training, I integrate principles of child psychology into my teaching to help children stay engaged, confident, and genuinely interested in piano.

I work closely with parents and provide clear feedback on progress, motivation, and healthy practice habits at home.

Musicienne passionnée, je propose des cours de solfège pour tous ceux qui souhaitent acquérir de bonnes bases musicales.

Mes cours se déroulent dans une atmosphère ludique et bienveillante ; ils s’adressent aux débutants complets comme aux élèves suivant déjà des cours de solfège et souhaitant renforcer leurs connaissances.

J'aborde l'enseignement avec pédagogie et flexibilité, en faisant en sorte de créer un cadre d'étude bienveillant et en m'adaptant au rythme et au fonctionnement de chacun. Par ailleurs, loin de certains clichés, je suis convaincue que le solfège peut être un bon moment à passer.
